Introducing Curator: local-first AI infrastructure for schools and studios
Institutions sit on knowledge they can’t safely hand to cloud AI: lesson recordings, student records, parent notes, billing information. In BC, privacy considerations make it a real liability to hand student or client data to a public cloud AI. No major AI product was built with that liability in mind, or with a way to integrate into the offline tech stacks these institutions already run.
Curator is open-source, local-first AI infrastructure that runs on hardware a school or studio already owns, so that knowledge never has to leave the building to be useful.
Cadenza Studio, our first application of this technology, shows what that looks like in practice: it listens to a lesson locally, drafts a summary, retrieves and transposes the right sheet music, answers voice questions against your own uploaded documents, and shares curated information with clients securely.
For example, you might ask it to find the Clarinet 3 part in a concert band arrangement and email it to two of your students. It’s that easy. No digging through a filing cabinet. No drafting any emails. No trip to the photocopier!
