Hello all!
My name is Simon Worley and I’m super excited to be here! I have over 11 years of experience leading students on immersive journeys around the world, and an additional 2 years teaching Business, Technology, and Economics in North Vancouver, I am thrilled to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to this program. I have been captivated by the power of experiential learning, recognizing its ability to ignite curiosity, foster personal growth, and broaden horizons.
Having spent years guiding students through diverse cultures, historical landmarks, and engaging hands-on experiences, I firmly believe in the transformative impact of experiential learning. These experiences have not only enriched students’ academic knowledge but also nurtured their global awareness, empathy, and intercultural understanding.
My recent move to North Vancouver has not only introduced me to the beauty of the region but also the vibrant educational community within it. I have been invigorated by the opportunities to teach Business, Technology, and Economics, and I am particularly drawn to the outdoor lifestyle and mild winters, which provide unique avenues for incorporating experiential learning into my classroom. Witnessing the positive impact of utilizing the natural environment as a backdrop for learning has reinforced my belief in the power of hands-on, real-world experiences in education.
As an educator, I am constantly seeking innovative ways to enhance learning outcomes and prepare students for the future. The rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence has caught my attention, and I am eager to explore its potential integration within our classrooms. I firmly believe that AI can revolutionize education, fostering personalized learning experiences, promoting critical thinking, and equipping students with the skills needed in an increasingly digital world.
