It has been widely acknowledged that hemodynamic<br>factors, e.g., instantaneous wall shear stress, time-averaged wall shear<br>stress, wall shear stress gradient, gradient oscillatory number,<br>oscillatory shear index, pulsatile blood flow waveform (flow rate<br>magnitude and shape, physical flow period), relative residence<br>time\/turnover time, blood pressure, and vortex (i.e., size, location,<br>and numbers), have a close relationship with the pathobiology (i.e.,<br>initiation, growth, and rupture) of IAs [1\u20139], apart from the<br>ambiguous family history and genetic factors, and other<br>non-modifiable factors (e.g., gender, age, at-risk disorders) [10] <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspired by rapid developments in artificial intelligence-driven and<br>big data-supported scientific computing, physics-informed DL and<br>deep hidden physics models [19\u201322] have a growing potential to be<br>employed to predict hemodynamic characteristics in IAs and assess<br>rupture risks using preclinical images (i.e., magnetic resonance<br>angiography (MRA) and computed tomography angiography (CTA))<br>and CFD modeling<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/etec522\/files\/2023\/05\/image-1.png\" alt=\"Biomedical Engineering Communications 2023;2(1):1. https:\/\/doi.org\/10.53388\/BMEC202300\" class=\"wp-image-5715\" width=\"1173\" height=\"1727\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/etec522\/files\/2023\/05\/image-1.png 679w, https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/etec522\/files\/2023\/05\/image-1-204x300.png 204w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1173px) 100vw, 1173px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>access article under the CC-BY license.
