This audit examines ASSISTments, a free teacher-integrated math platform from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, against three solution platforms spanning the full spectrum from autonomous AI delivery to teacher-mediated delivery. The central findings are that independently replicated gains exist, equity-relevant subgroup effects are real, and an independent cost-effectiveness analysis makes the investment case unusually concrete. But the conditions under which those gains hold matter as much as the gains themselves.
