MakeMusic (formerly SmartMusic) is an Educational Program that allows Music Educators to enhance their music rooms. MakeMusic also allows the student to go beyond the classroom.

How is MakeMusic used in and out of the Classroom?

MakeMusic in the classroom can help with the music you are currently working on. MakeMusic also has other features that enhance your learners. This cloud-based software also includes Music Catalogue with over 15,000 titles to explore! For educators, there is a gradebook that keeps track of your students progress. The program also allows the student to put sound to paper through the Compose program. Furthermore, there is also an opportunity for the students to learn to read music faster with a Sight Reading Studio. There is also the practice function that also gives the student immediate feedback.

The MakeMusic program allows teachers to send home assignments and engage them in scaffolded learning. In the assignments, the student can slow down the music, speed up the music, hear the music, and have immediate feedback when playing the assignments.
