2) The Venture Cube

The Venture Cube

In order to give my analysis of MakeMusic, I will use the Venture Cube to show my findings.

Market Focus

MakeMusic is focused towards all types of musicians. The two main groups of interest are educators and music makers. As music is offered at all levels of education, this program is designed for musicians starting at any age.

Types of Offerings

Services: The services offered in this program include the library, the compose tool, a musical tuner, a metronome.

Other infrastructure offerings for educators includes a customizable gradebook and class analytics. For students, supportive services such as fingering/positional charts, note sounds, looping, and tempo adjustments are available to customize the learning environment.

Who is the Buyer?

The typical buyer of this program would be for educators who are using this in the K-12 school system.

Global Target

This program is a US based company which would cater this globally to Anglophone Countries. As this program is cloud based, it is more catered to countries with an excellent and stable internet infrastructure as well as users whose primary language is English.

Market Status

The market status for this program is affordable if purchased by a school using the bulk purchase option. Even if the user goes with the “non-bulk” pricing, for the amount of offerings at a one-year subscription, you are getting more for your money.

Competition

Arguably, the only competition for this is the educator. Educators can go the traditional way of teaching and not purchase this product, however, in regards to other programs that are in this field, the chart below challenges the capabilities of Noteflight Learn as well as PracticeFirst.
