My understanding is that a number of prominent bloggers have self-published e-books, which they sell through their websites (payment is usually through paypal). Some of these authors, such as Chris Guillebeau who has published some <a title=\"Unconventional Guides\" href=\"http:\/\/www.unconventionalguides.com\/products.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Unconventional Guides<\/a> and Danielle Laporte who self-published <a title=\"The Spark Kit\" href=\"http:\/\/whitehottruth.com\/shop-adore\/the-spark-kit\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Spark Kit<\/a>, have since landed book contracts with larger publishing houses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lulu is one company that facilitates self-publishing &#8211; and they have an <a title=\"Lulu Educational Publishing\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lulu.com\/education\/?cid=us_pprtl_edu_blk\" target=\"_blank\">education<\/a> division.<\/p>\n<p>I think that one compelling educational use would be to have learners self-publishing.
