Here are the results!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Diversity of Web Analytic Tools:<\/strong><br \/>\nFrom the 12 participants, 29 different tools were identified in addition to the 8 mentioned in the survey<br \/>\n<strong>Type of websites with the most Analytic Tools:<\/strong><br \/>\nParticipants\u2019 expectation before installing Ghostery<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/VSq2xvT8NlB0ah2Ew8jHs9V4WWiQQJ0eacjf5GgYj2qUZiDoDlgan7uRxbhNlA65Ve08hForQFkjbiF-4cOBa-mzYfyha70z_ul8eN17FcvkqhxQUTs\" alt=\"\" width=\"313px;\" height=\"134px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Most analytic tools experienced after installing Ghostery<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/qcwwmrGXGiC7POZm_kH5MeAjCJLEbV_ouIhvvcw0bdYiu2edo4ggNBy-UFR2LIG8iskcMwweY29Z9-y_JMsWKWH8TZ3eYwJDwKFgaz8wRy1zlcbou00\" alt=\"\" width=\"323px;\" height=\"138px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The highest number of analytic tools experienced on a single site:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/mdobjOMkWOsaTzOkPQCfUleFjz8uJfypJh3TZ3hsjG6MdyLsZue7xJuHqdl-dd1X4RheKpwrESBxJMO7FoM93XXNEJGMTmrvdsSvYKCEzWmniPQm_Og\" alt=\"\" width=\"329px;\" height=\"234px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The diverse data might be related to the number of sites visited after Ghostery was installed.<br \/>\nAll participants were aware of the existence of analytic tools before installing Ghostery.<br \/>\nAfter the activity, some of us felt &#8220;disturbing&#8221;, &#8220;terrible&#8221;, and\/or &#8220;surprised&#8221; by the number of analytic tools employed on a site.<br \/>\nSome of us wonder:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>if information from emails are tracked<\/li>\n<li>what is the number of watchers (analytic tools) possible on one site<\/li>\n<li>if it was the site owner or advertisers who employ the tools what are the types of data collected by these tools and how they might be used<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thoughts are welcome! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ghostery Survey Summary Thank you for your participation in the Ghostery activity.
