I have been an academic librarian longer than I\u2019ve been anything else. I am passionate about teaching and learning, research, and instructional technologies, and the MET program seems to be a natural fit with what I enjoy doing.<\/p>\n<p>I made a transition to a public library recently. My new role as digital services librarian allows me to combine my \u2018old school\u2019 love for print books and interest in digital technologies. Professionally the growth has been exponential.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/etec522m.sites.olt.ubc.ca\/files\/2014\/05\/out-of-the-blue.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-10105\" src=\"http:\/\/etec522m.sites.olt.ubc.ca\/files\/2014\/05\/out-of-the-blue-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"v\" width=\"130\" height=\"130\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is my 4<sup>th<\/sup> MET course and I hope to reach and get over the halfway mark soon! I see a few familiar names in this class, so I don\u2019t feel like a stranger in a strange land.
