Scavengar offers a fun game that can be used in Education. You can complete Scavengar’s made by other people or create your own right on your mobile device. I could see myself creating a scavengar hunt for Lab Safety and important items around the classroom to allow students to get familiar with the space. What is cool is the ability to create a hunt that can be done anywhere or at a specific geolocation. I suggest downloading the app and giving a random hunt a try to get the feel for it.

Downsides: it appears to only be available for iPhone and it is difficult to search for a specific hunt that isn’t geolocation. In this article Jamie Donnally created a hunt for readers to try and the only way I was able to find it was to scroll through the discover page, this can be problematic when more hunts are shared.

https://www.edsurge.com/news/2020-05-28-stay-active-at-home-with-these-6-fun-ar-vr-apps

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPiG3Xrp9OY

I came across this AR app while reading an article on EdSurge.
