There is an expectation that both the interviewee and interviewer come prepared\u00a0 to the interview.<\/p>\n

From the perspective of the interviewee, read Prepare for the behavioral interview, and then ace it<\/a>! to observe the preparation elements of a job interview, keeping in mind these three questions:<\/p>\n

  1. How does the preparation of the candidate impact the interview? Employers have asked candidates during the interview process what type of preparation they have done for this interview. Their response is often an indicator on how motivated they are to assume this position.<\/li>\n
  2. What purpose does the behavioral descriptive interview process serve?<\/li>\n
  3. How does the answers of the candidate reflect their preparation and suitability for the job?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The University of Manitoba has prepared the Interview Preparation Workbook<\/a>\u00a0 for further reference.<\/p>\n

    Interviewer<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    The Interviewer should come prepared with a list of questions that reflect the current vacancy and job description. Questions should provoke answers that reflect behavior indicative of the type of job that the candidate will be performing.<\/p>\n
