What do the experts say?

As the previous activity suggests, effective web design incorporates a variety of critera.  A great deal of research has indicated that web surfers absorb information from web sites in a completely different way than they do from reading printed material.

Activity 1

Return to your group from the previous lesson.  Read pages 342-344 from the class textbook “Business Connections”.  Add the important elements of design discussed in these pages to the group’s rubric.

Visit the following sites in order to gain some further insight into the important considerations required for successful web design

By now, your rubric should be extensive, covering key topics that help identify design principles that make a website successful.  We aren’t done yet!  Now you are going to put your rubric into action.  Let’s move on to the next lesson!
