An hour long workshop that aims to build understanding and create excitement about the use of the social media tool Twitter for science teachers<\/p>\n

It is expected that participants will have a variety of experience using Twitter in their classrooms. From novice to expert – we hope that everyone will find something novel and engaging about the activities presented on this site.<\/p>\n

Participating in this workshop will lead to

\n – Creating an understanding of the terminology fundamental to twitter
\n – Examination of views about how social media potentially benefits educators
\n – Development of ideas for using Twitter in the science classroom
\n – Application from a student’s perspective in the use of mircroblogs<\/p>\n
