When all students have access to a device with internet access, a traditional teaching style may not work. Thus, it is important that teachers have enough technological and pedagogical knowledge before any large scale BYOD or 1:1 deployment. Otherwise, technology may become a distraction to learning rather than have the transformational impact that it deserves. Thus, while implementing BYOD in our classrooms, our focus should be more on pedagogy rather than technology.
