Key topics include-<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Components: Battery, load ( e.g. light bulbs), resistor, switch<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Types of circuits: Series, parallel, and short circuits<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Current flow in a circuit: AC and DC current<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Voltage, Current, and resistance- Ohm&#8217;s law, relative dangers of current and voltage<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Cultural connection: First nations culture\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Spiritual<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Students will value that the Earth gives us life. Students will appreciate the natural resources that are retrieved from the Earth and understand that it is the Earth that provides us with electricity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Physical<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Students will analyze the amount of electricity needed in their home city\/state\/country and analyze the impact it has on our Earth. Students will investigate and model an understanding of ways in which electricity is produced.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Emotional<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Students will express their individual opinions about the impact we have on the Earth and its sustainment. They will identify sources of electricity that are environmentally friendly and suggest ideas to reduce the impact we have on the Earth through our usage of electricity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mental<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Students will show their appreciation for technology and Earth as an energy force by analyzing their behaviours, and developing ways of decreasing their energy consumption in order to conserve natural resources and protect the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
