There are a few versions of La Llorona, but mainly is about a woman who drowned her two own children after realizing her husband is cheating on her. When she realizes what she has done, and starts crying asking to get her children back, she drowns herself. Her spirit is stuck on Earth, and forever crying and looking for her children. So, she takes children away to replace her own and attacks cheating husbands.
If my husband only knew what the story is about, I wonder if he would have chosen this legend to get my son to eat!!

The [[true story of La Llorona]] So, as I was saying, a long, long time ago, in a place far, far away in Latin America, people were celebrating and having a party. The food was delicious, everyone could choose their favorites, as many times as they wanted. There was a live band, and also a DJ, everyone wanted to dance. People were dancing, having fun, and enjoying seeing friends and family. When all of the sudden they heard a sound that was too scary!
It was a woman crying!

When the people heard the woman crying, they stopped dancing, they stopped the music, everyone just stopped. The woman continued crying, and has not stop ever since. So, one day, she might come to your party, your birthday party and start crying, and your party will end! Everyone is going to want to leave your party.
And that is the Legend of La Llorona.
