Well, it’s been a long time since I’ve had to complete a task that was that frustrating!

I starteed off feeling pretty smart as I got into the game rather quickly and got past page one rather quickly too. Then page two hit with the whole Terms and Conditions. At first, I thought I had it figured out; don’t hit the giant cancel button, don’t check off the box that says terms and conditions. I initially thought it was my password that was wrong as it listed all kinds of requirements. But that still wasn’t working…

I then realized that I needed to actually “read” the terms and conditions, which was probably the most infuriating moment of the game. Only being able to scroll a few lines at a time was irritating, to say the least. Thinking I had finally figured it out, I got to the bottom, clicked “Accept” and discovered that I still couldn’t move on. I won’t relay the words that came out of my mouth, but just know that it wasn’t pretty.

I don’t know exactly how long I was on this page for but it felt like an eternity because every time I tried something new with my password or email I would go back and slowly scroll through the terms and conditions. This was the page that almost broke me, but I felt like I’d come too far to quit. Eventually, I realize I needed to double click the next button instead of only using a single click. All of that infuriating scrolling for nothing!!

All was good again until I got to the page where I needed to prove I was human. I thought it was clever to show pictures that are different but use the same word. It makes me want to show this page to my middle schoolers when we talk about homonyms. (As a side note, when I was stuck on page 2 I seriously thought about having my students try to figure this thing out for me, but then I thought it would create a mutiny if I did. Ha ha.) After being stuck on this page for at least 5 minutes, I made my way through and let out a heavy sigh of release to see the completion page. Ahhhhhh.
