Hello Everyone!

Hello, my name is Jennie Jiang, welcome to my blog!

I have been an academic advisor for over 5 years, and I love it when I can help students gain more clarity on their education and career pathways. Currently I am working on the Integrated Renewal Project at UBC, and what inspired me to join this program was actually how traditional the process of higher education is, and how little technology we have incorporated into the field so far. BUT! We are working on it!

My background is Math, and I also have a degree in piano performance. Needless to say, I have been in school for way too long, but I love it! In my spare time I like to go hiking. I also like to watch good shows, the most recently one I’ve finished is Baby Reindeer. Not only is it a very entertaining show, I appreciate the clever way the show portrayed some very serious issues in our society. Highly recommended. Thank you for being here, hope you enjoy my blog!

P.S.: Not that anyone asked, but please enjoy a picture of Sasamat Lake I took on a short hike.
