The Great Adventures of A
You are a legendary warrior in Ancient Greece. However, how you became a legend through sheer luck. You were always at the right place at the right time and was present for key moments in Ancient Greek history but you actually have never accomplished anything besides survive. You are essentially the Forrest Gump of Ancient Greece. Your decisions throughout this adventure will help either continue your legacy or will have you meet your end. [[Let's begin your adventure]] You are part of the Trojan War and your first task is to pick what role you want to play in the Spartan Army. You are part of Achilles's army but if you read the Iliad or watched Troy, you know that the Trojan War does not end well for Achilles so you must pick wisely in order to survive! [[Archer]] [[Knight]] [[Catapult loader]]It's harder to get killed from mid-range compared to close-combat so smart choice so far. You are preparing for the big battle and Achilles gives you a head-nod to acknowledge your legendary presence as he walks by. What do you do? [[Act cool and nod back]] [[Act giddy and wave like a madman because you don't know what to do with your hands]] Battling on the front-lines...interesting choice. You may get the most glory but your chances of survival also drop drastically. As you prepare for battle, Achilles walks by you and gives you a head nod. What do you do? [[Act cool and nod back]] [[Act giddy and wave like a madman because you don't know what to do with your hands]] The positions that is furthest away from all the action. Excellent choice if you want to survive! As you are preparing for the battle, which means doing some weightlifting exercises and finding the best boulders for loading, the soldiers ask for your advice on how to earn more respect as a catapult loader since you are the only legendary catapult loader they have ever met. What do you tell them? [[You have to show them how much weight you can lift]] [[You have to show them how smart you are by showing off your mathematical calculations]] You act cool and nod back. Achilles is taken aback by your nonchalant response as most people would act all giddy and make a fool out of themselves. You have earned his respect prior to battle and he wants you to be the one of the leaders in his army and names you one of his commanders. He considers you one of his trusted advisors and the two of you make fast friends. This was exactly what you did not want to have happen but you can't turn down Achilles so you're just going to have to fake it until you make it. [[Fast Forward to the Battle]]You act giddy and wave like a madman. Achilles is disappointed as he thought you would be different since you are a legendary warrior as well. However, legends acknowledge legends so he makes you one of the commanders for his army. Just know that you'll never be invited to one of his parties though. [[Fast Forward to the Battle]] The Spartan's are having a difficult time breaking through the defenses and need an idea that will help turn the tide of the war. Being one of Achilles's trusted commanders, he asks for your advice. What do you tell him? [[All out assault, throw everything we've got at them]] [[Well, what about a giant wooden horse?]] This fails miserably as the defense of the Trojans was just too strong and everyone on the Spartan side dies, including yourself. The worst part is that the Spartans were severely at a disadvantage as Achilles was already at a weakened state to start the battle from you having stepped on his heel as you all tried to storm Troy. THE ENDThe commanders put their blind faith in you and by some fluke miracle, the plan works! The Spartans invade Troy and have an upper hand in the battle. As the Spartans take over Troy, you see that Achilles and Paris are in a heated battle and Achilles is struggling, what do you do to help? [[Archer decisions: Shoot an arrow at Paris to weaken him]] [[Knight decisions: Jump into the middle of the battle and fend off Paris]] [[Archer/Knight decisions: Do nothing, it's Achilles, he never loses]]As you are demonstrating how much you lift, Achilles walks by and gives you an approving nod and tells the group around him to be more like you. The soldiers are amazed that you were acknowledged by Achilles himself and now idolize you and listen to all of your commands. The commanders are trying to get an advantage to start off the battle and ask you how you can adjust the catapults to make them more effective. What do you tell them? [[Use larger boulders!]] [[Add fire to the boulders]]With their blind faith in you, the commanders went all out in their assault with the back-up of your large boulders. The result ended up being the same and the Spartans lost the war and worse yet, Achilles was crushed by one of the large boulders misfiring and falling short of its target. THE ENDThe fire was a great idea as it caused fires to spread throughout Troy and diverted the attention of the Trojan Army! The Spartan's ended up winning the war and you are given credit for coming up with the ingenius idea to add fire to boulders. Although Achilles did the brunt of the work, you are credited for the victory and your legend continues. THE END You write down all the formulas you know and everyone is confused. Achilles walks by and shakes his head and tells his group to not be like you since Math is not what wins wars. However, other commanders do appreciate your brains so they ask for your advice on how the catapults may help them win the war. What advice do you gives? [[Use larger boulders!]] [[Add fire to the boulders]] In your attempt to shoot Paris, you misfire and shoot Achilles in his heel. Achilles ultimately dies and the Spartans lose the war. In your shame, you run away, never to be heard from again. THE END As you jump into the middle of the battle, you accidentally stomp on the heel of Achilles which weakens him and sprains your ankle at the same time. Paris easily kills the both of you and the Spartans lose the war. THE END As you watch and do nothing, Achilles overpowers Paris like he normally does and kills him. The Spartans overtake Troy and win the Trojan War. You are credited with the victory and further continue your legend.
