I can really connect to some of her points about social media. Recently I spent a week home sick and during the day I often didn’t have enough energy to watch tv or movies. Curious about what my students were seeing on TikTok, I downloaded the app to check it out. I’m ashamed to admit that as a fairly savvy adult, I lost over an hour of my time in the blink of an eye. The way the app works and the fact that there is a never ending supply of content definitely got me.
