The Changing Spaces of Reading and Writing

PBS:Digital Nation

I found an interesting transcript of an interview involving Mark Prensky and Mark Bauerlein on the topic of education and technology.  The interview took place on June 25, 2009 and is posted on PBS’ Frontline: Digital Nation link. It’s interesting beyond the topic  (respecting youth culture, gaming to learn, integrating ed-tech) and on the level of “why isn’t this a sound file”? Something to ponder!

Thanks Erin! This is an interesting topic, but I did find it a little hard to read and there were a lot of spelling errors since they were probably typing quickly. It would be so much better if this was a sound file that we could listen to!

I was also surprised Erin that the transcript with errors was posted and not an audio file…as they are experts pondering how to address the age of digital learning. It is likely that it was out of their control would be my guess. I enjoyed the part where they wrote about the teachers performance levels being published. That I did not realize would happen in any instance.
