Hello, everyone!
I chose this image because it is my ideal for consuming text. I would love to think that I do all my reading in a relaxed and comfortable manner. The reality is often the opposite. I long for the day when I have time to read for pleasure. Not that some of our academic readings aren’t enjoyable, but to delve into the world of fiction again…..maybe next year.
My name is Carri-Ann, and I am happy to be on this journey with you. This is my second semester in the MET program, and I am taking my 3rd and 4th courses. I am happy to see some familiar names in the class.
I spend my days in Kindergarten with 29 little cherubs. My “spare” time is devoted to my family – husband, kids, and grandkids. As a matter of fact, one of my grandsons is getting married next weekend. Exciting times!
I am also a Girl Guide leader, getting ready to wrap up our season with a big Camp early in June, so I have no problem keeping busy.
I am looking forward to starting this course as it will keep my mind and fingers engaged as I attempt to wean myself from a non-productive SmartPhone addiction. 😉 I’m sure our three platforms will fill the void nicely and keep me on my toes!
See you online!

Hi Carri-Ann, nice to meet you. I’m just south of you, Bathurst and Lawrence area in North-York. I’ve been in your neck of the woods a few times, very beautiful area.

Hi Mackenzie. In the scheme of this course (and my experience in the MET program), we are practically neighbours! I have many friends in your “hood”. Looking forward to working with you this semester.

Salutations Carri-Ann Scott!
I hope you and everyone you love are happy and thriving!
I work in Gold River, BC and live in Courtenay, BC.
I commute between two communities and am never looking for things to do as they often find me, lol.
What are your favorite 5 records? (This is just a thing I am doing on FaceBook at the moment)
Respect,
Ken

Hi Ken,
Limiting my favourites is difficult, but if I were pressed my 5 favourite albums would be:
Patricia O’Callaghan – Real Emotional Girl
Paul Simon – Graceland
Quartetto Gelato – Neopolitan Cafe
Sarah Harmer – I’m a Mountain
Crash Test Dummies – God Shuffled His Feet
The exact order depends on the day.

Hey Ken
I am in Black Creek, between Comox and Campbell River, didn’t think anyone else in the MET program lived out my way. Nice to find someone that lives closer than a ferry ride away.
Looking forward to learning with everyone.

Hi Carri-Ann,
Nice to meet you!
You do sound like a very busy person! I tip my hat to you…Kindergarten teachers are a very special group of people. Wonderful work that you do.
I am a high school teacher. I love what I do. Even so, I find myself longing for a break. I am thrilled that the summer vacation is just around the corner.
I’ve recently rediscovered the Crash Test Dummies. I sidelined them for a while (don’t really know why…), but they’ve found their way back onto my “favourites” list.
Looking forward to working with you in this course!

Thanks, George.
There is definitely something about their unique sound. It centres me, or something. Perhaps it’s because all the voices I hear during the day are high pitched? If this was a psychology course, we could delve into it deeper. 🙂
