I am fairly new to mobile media; I am on my second phone ever! Two years ago I purchased an inexpensive Samsung A5 just to get into the swing of mobile communication technology. Last year I purchased my first lap top computer – ASUS product with good connectivity and running Windows. The MET has me realizing that I have very powerful tools at my media producing disposal but I never really use either.
In this short poetry project I wanted to see how efficiently I can produce a media object that incorporates sound and vision. With a few pics from my new iPhone 8s+ and the Windows Video Editor on my PC I hope I have created a provocative video poem. I selected these tools to investigate how easily students with these affordances could submit objects for discussion and further learning. These tools are quite simplistic and the video editing program would soon run out of novel sounds to pair with the infinite amount of visual data my smart phone could produce.
