I chose to use Adobe Spark on the recommendation of a colleague. I had never used it before and found it relatively intuitive. I did have to clear a few hurdles along the way. It appears to have a character limit for text boxes, which was a problem when it came time to post my references. I had to get creative with some screen shots. Spark is better set up for a shorter video. It is also entirely online. As the video got longer and larger, I often had problems with lag and crashing tabs. If you plan on using Spark in the future, be aware of those problems.

My project focused on the invention of photography and its impact on communication. There were a few precursor names to what became known as photography. For the sake of convenience and to avoid confusion, I’ve chosen to refer to them all as photography. I provided very few written words during the video purposely. The content of the video revolved around visual communication, so wherever possible I only used photographs and paintings. An exception to this was the final slide as it was connecting into a newer form of communication. I would like to improve the audio volume, but I’m happy that the music doesn’t overpower the voice over. I hope you all enjoy.
