The Critical Learning Tasks (CLT) are fundamental in laying the groundwork necessary for a comprehensive understanding of the maker mentality, the maker movement, participatory culture, and learning ecologies in connection with inquiry and liberatory design thinking.
Through the CLTs, you will develop the ability to leverage equity, diversity, inclusion, decolonization, and anti-racism (EDIDA) frameworks across various sectors, including healthcare, corporate, education, and government. These CLTs
encompass a range of multimodal activities and tasks such as scholarly readings, multiliteracy text analysis, podcasts, guest speaker recordings, video analyses, and collaborative peer discussions, all of which serve to expand your knowledge and stimulate your thinking.
The selected readings for the CLTs will contextualize theories and ideologies related to the establishment, execution, and sustainability of inclusive makerspaces within a participatory culture, drawing from your personal and professional encounters.
