For this final project for this course I have chosen to look at the theme of gains and losses that occur as a result of technological change. I have created a narrated Prezi to highlight my thoughts on this topic.

I really like the way you wove in all the modules of the course in your presentation. It also reminded me that I need to use Prezi for my next presentation. I have been meaning to, but just forgot in the rush.

Hi Anita, This was a nice résumé of the course. I disagreed with a few of the choices of what you’ve included in gains and losses but it must have been difficult to choose with all the material we have read, so the criticism at this point would be somewhat petty. I am wondering if you purposefully decided to include text, images and the voiceover because of the nature of the course. Did you not want to rely on one medium over others? It seems like each has been used almost equally (maybe the image in a close second to text and voice).

I enjoyed the straight forward messages, and presentation of your opinions within a Prezi. I was interested in the last part about trust. Indeed our relationships and how we connect socially is altered, but trust is one aspect of technological advances I am most interested in, and would like to know more. Thanks for the inspiration!

I really like how you brought together the many topics of this course in a clear manner while making reference to Engell & O’Donnell’s (1999) costs and benefits of text and technology. The blend of audio, text and images transformed your ideas and knowledge into an illuminated presentation. Well done!
