Multimedia Project: Text, Technology & E-Portfolios!
Hi everyone!
I decided to create my project using Powtoon, as the presentation format I am least experienced with is making videos, so I figured I would give myself a bit more practice! I decided to draw connections between various concepts we explored throughout the course and how they are applicable to the use of e-portfolios. I gave particular attention to the activity we completed at the beginning of the course, in which we looked up the definitions of text and technology, as I thought this was a really great exercise- it certainly encouraged me to be more mindful of the terminology I use and the context within which I use it.
Without a doubt, what I love most about this course is the freedom we have had with regards to our blog posts and assignments. I think that being given such broad (and relevant!) topics to explore and discuss has led to some really engaging conversation and thought-provoking posts. I’m looking forward to checking out all of your projects!

Super cool video! I have been curious about using Powtoon, and I am even more so now. Your video wrapped things up nicely and reminded me about some of the things we talked about this semester that I had already forgotten. I agree that this course has been very refreshing in terms of finding our own way within assignments. I have really enjoyed being able to make sense of things in my own way as well, and this makes it even more interesting for others to check out too I think, as we feel freer to invest more of ourselves in projects we are really passionate about. Thanks for sharing this!
I hadn’t realized to what extent my definition of text and technology has evolved throughout this course. Like you, I have used these terms many times in the past without truly grasping what they can (and do) mean. Your video was very well constructed as you bridged together the various components of this course and applied it to the concept of creating an e-portfolio. Like Rochelle, I’ve never used Powtoon before, but after watching your video, I would definitely like to try it in the future. Job well done!!!!
