Through the weeks, in this course reflection, I think I better understood mobile education.  It is not a threat, but more of a growing opportunity.  The learners are mobile today.  As discussed and read in multiple occasions here, Education has to take a look at its back and figure out a way to improve.  We are learners, our students are, and the tools we experiment on a day-to-day basis are not in an office or in our bedroom.  Mobility is big and it is not becoming, it is part of everything around us.  What is this?  How does that work? When did it appear? First thing we do to answer questions is to take our device out and ask Google (or other search engine).  We don’t even have to type an address anymore, we just type the words in the address bar or talk to it.  And we get multiple hits!

What is says to Education, is “You have to change and evolve”.  WE are in “Google times” and the critical thinking, entrepreneurship, collaboration, introspection, etc. need to BE!  We have to be creative and smart to be in front in this information world.

Talking about this course and the reflection behind it: I think it is an opportunity to network with people, to reflect on what is the situation in education and do whatever needs to be done, together, to improve ourselves and advocate for a better world.  Having access to information doesn’t mean understanding it.  We, as educators, have a big role in this.  Let’s use our influence for the generations to come.

After 13 weeks of thinking to what could be done and how it has to be done, I believe what I found is just an eager sense of will to give my teachers a taste of whatis it and have them understand the power of their word; the impact of their thoughts; and finally, as much as possible, eliminate those fears of novelty.  AS a new principal, I believe I have a lot of work to accomplish, but I am convinced that my team can do better for our students.
