ETEC565 covers three domains. I primarily work in the K-12 sector however I would like to expand my knowledge in the design structure for both post-secondary and for community organizations to allow for other opportunities by working as online Educator or Designer may offer more flexibility in work schedule hours which is what I am looking for in the near future.

I hope to build up a plethora of skills from different LMS platforms as they are all new to me. I am open to different options as I don’t feel limited in criteria for particular LMS designs at this point. I would like to learn as much as I can about them to gain better knowledge and be able to successful implement and maintain a LMS platform in my own teaching practice or another educational technology that may be able to offer the same affordances that a Learning Management System is able to. It would be important for me to deepen my understanding of best practice assessment and feedback when using a LMS so that I would be able to continue to inspire student learning and creativity in my classroom. I would love to expand my knowledge and execution of Google classroom and all of its elements. Additionally, I would like to learn how to CODE, as I recently read that coding will soon be part of the BC curriculum implemented over the next three years. It’s something I think is valuable for students to be exposed to with the technology sector expanding the way it has and it is skill I might even benefit from fully understanding.

I know I will be able to learn a lot from what others input into their LMS sites and e-Portfolio’s and look forward to investigating them further.
