Storytelling
Imagine what it would be like to walk 2,000 miles from your home to a place that you knew very little about? This new frontier had many unknown hazards where the pioneers had to either know how to grow or kill enough food for yourself and your family to survive in harsh conditions. Pioneers had to clear land with only an axe, a shovel and maybe a rusty plow. They also had to build shelter, cure disease and endure attacks.
Pioneer stories were passed down through families of these courageous people who put it all “on the line”.
