Study: Tablet users are rich, educated, news-loving

Owners of iPads and other tablet devices tend to be news junkies who are wealthier and more highly educated than than the general population, according to a new report. People who use tablet divices are more educated according to the research which states fifty-one percent of them have a college degree, compared with 28% of all Americans. Tablet users also tend to be richer: Fifth-three percent have an annual household income greater than $75,000, compared with 28% of the total U.S. population. Also, Tablet users read news much more than people who don’t use tablet. Since they are more accessible to news.

After reading this article, I partly agree and partly disagree. I agree that tablet users are usually richer because poor people can’t afford those devices. Also they are news-loving because it’s easy and quick to access to news and reading news is a good time-killing activity. However, I disagree tablet users are generally more educated, because people might be educated while they cannot afford a tablet or people who doesn’t like using tablet. I am not a tablet user, because I don’t like the small screens on them. Lots of people might have different reasons for not using tablets, but this doesn’t mean they’re not educated.

About half of tablet computer owners get news on their device every day, according to a new study.
