Class of: 14-Apr-2016.
Today we discussed moss asexual reproduction and some of their more detailed features!
Please review the learning objectives below:
- Students will be able to identify the major structures and characteristics of mosses.
- Students will be able to describe the various ways mosses can reproduce asexually.
Some questions to ponder from class:
- Summarize the characteristics of a moss as far as you have learned.
- Identify the environmental changes that might have influenced the evolution of nonvascular plant structures.
- Distinguish between a moss, an alga, and a land plant.
- Generalize the economic value of mosses.
- Apply what you know about osmosis and diffusion to suggest why nonvascular plants usually are small.
- Predict the changes that would occur at the cellular level when a moss dries out.
- Compare and contrast the habitats of mosses, algae, and land plants.
