Pro- D Day 1- Hands on Clay — Low Fire Handbuilding (I made this at my first Pro-Day Day experience. It was amazing. I have always wanted to take lessons. I have decided to pursue this further once I have completed my education degree and I have already started to make arrangements to take lessons).
BC Epilepsy Society (attended this to listen to my friend give her testimony. In the process, I learned how to help my future students who many have seizure and how to bring a sense of normalcy and remove stigmatization about it).
Makerspace at Strawberry Hill Elementary School (1. Learning to draw- I covered most of the red lines with my pen. 2. Playing with Dash- robotics)
Ed Camp- I focused on these specific topics because I am really interested in learning how to integrate music and language arts and I really love the Aboriginal culture and want to have a better understanding of adding different theories into my lessons.
STA Convention- Knowing that I was going to do my Community Field Experience at the Burnaby Youth Custody Services, I felt the need to learn about different techniques that I could use to understood students who have been through trauma so that I could create an inclusive classroom.
LGBTQ Conference with the BCTF- This is a wonderful resource that we received at the Professional Development Day Conference at the school where I completed my practicum.
