How can you survive in Vancouver with $13/day?
You need to find cheap food, eat a lot of sandwiches and drink water instead of alcohol.

What are the best-hidden spots to go to in Vancouver?
In Vancouver you can visit Stanley Park, it’s one of the most famous parks. For cheap and good food you can go to Sushi Bella on Davie Street. On the campus you can go to the Nitobe gardens close to Place Vanier, it’s peaceful and beautiful and there is a discount for UBC students. Comparatively speaking Spanish Banks Beach is nicer and quieter than Wreck beach. There are a lot of hiking trails around the UBC campus. If you want cheaper food you can go to a restaurant Downtown called Warehouse.  On Hornby and Nelson streets there is a Japanese BBQ restaurant called UKAKU and they offers happy hour all day on Mondays, you can bring your own meat and they will cook it for you.

How has multiculturalism influenced life in Vancouver?
With multiculturalism, there is food from all backgrounds so you can have a huge variety of meals. People are more open and more accepting about others cultures. It’s also interesting that you have a concentration of cultures in a neighbourhood like Chinatown, In Surrey there are a lot of people from India and in Richmond there are a lot of people from China. You can go on those places and explore different cultures. And also for the economy Vancouver is located on the West coast and there is a huge port that helps for trade. So there are a lot of connections with others countries.
