My name is Eric Zhang and I am currently in the first year of a two year computer science program (BCS) at the University of British Columbia.
In 2020, I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Mathematics. Since then, I have been working in jobs related to the field of data science. I decided to go back to school and pursue computer science because I wanted to refine my technical skills in computer programing, which will be beneficial in the field of data science.
In the near future, my goal is to acquire multiple internship experiences in data science and advance my career in that field.
In my spare time, I like to play different kinds of sports. I grew up playing sports and I enjoy being in a team environment. The sport I play the most is volleyball.
Since I enjoy playing volleyball and being in a team environment, it is no surprise that coaching youth volleyball teams is on my resume. I have been coaching at Apex Volleyball Club for many years. Furthermore, coaching allows me to improve important attributes such as leadership skills and communication skills. These attributes are also very important in my future careers.
