“Alternative engagements with alternatives” exercise

In this exercise, you are asked to connect four GTDF experiments and one interview:

1) Anti-assholism memo here.

2) Depth conversations here.

3) Gift contract here.

4) Four mountains story here.

5) Interview with Zygmund Bauman here. (if you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, focus on the end part – after 19 minutes)

Dipping in questions for you to sit with:

What do the experiments have in common? What do they try to move and/or to interrupt? How do they connect with the interview?

How are the experiments counter-intuitive to what we have been socialized to expect in current modern societies?

How are the experiments and interview related to the SMDR compass?

How can they help you (or not) to learn to walk the tightrope between desperate hope and desolate hopelessness with honest, humility, humour and hyper-self-reflexivity?

Check your bus. Who is driving? How are the other passengers doing?  : )
