I job shadowed Alima Soodeen at the Diabetes clinic in Abbotsford General Hospital. In the morning Alima led a Diabetes group education class and met with clients one on one in the afternoon. The most significant learning observation in this shadowing was Alima working side by side with a nurse. It was through teamwork they taught the clients about different aspects of their conditions. It is a significant piece of learning for me because I understand that we achieve the best client-centred care through teamwork.
