Eating Bugs,
Today I went to a workshop organized by the student association Sprouts, you know the ones who are located in the old sub and give food on donation every Friday? And serve the chocolate vegan brownies in a cozy room which they transformed it into a cozy caffe not to forget seedlings which belongs to sprout and is a little restaurant with very acceptable prices. Well they organised this workshop were a guy talk about raising insect to eat them after. Yes you have heard me it is true you can totally eat insects. They are low in calories contain good fats do not contaminate as meat and they are tasty. A person was telling me that in Africa in places were people are unurished they could eat bugs which will give them protein but instead they do not because people do not know that insects are eatable. Also, they are not very hard to raise but here in Canada they are not many so the demand is bigger than what they
Produce so prices are high and it is still no possible to plan on eating insects as part of a daily diet.
In terms of taste they taste like chips. And for a little tast you can bake them in chilly curry honey mustard whatever you like.
Intresting thing is that in mexico and Asian country people eat them and it is not a big thing but in the west yes maybe with time there will be a change in culture a little bit and you will be able to buy cricket in bulk at wholefoods.
