He rose to prominence in the early 2000s with his self-described \u2018lowbrow\u2019 buffalo skull series\u00a0\u00a0<em>426 Hemi<\/em>\u00a0(2010),\u00a0<em>Hot Rod Buffalo<\/em>\u00a0(2003)<em>, Red Voodoo\u00a0<\/em>(2010) and\u00a0<em>Immortals<\/em>\u00a0(2010) which were acquired by the National Gallery of Canada.<\/p>\n<p><em>Honky Tonk Chapel\u00a0<\/em>combines some of Kevin McKenzie\u2019s best known works with new paintings from his Indigenous comic book hero series.<\/p>\n<p><a
