Scope of Practice

All of our personal trainers have received CSEP- Certified Personal Trainer® certification. The minimum requirement is a 2-year college diploma in a health-related field.  We are qualified to administer the Canadian Physical Activity, Fitness & Lifestyle Approach Protocol (CPAFLA) to apparently healthy persons, to assess client’s fitness level, and to create a tailored physical activity, fitness and lifestyle plan to individuals and/or groups, using various modes of exercise and equipment to help client’s achieve their health goals in a safe and effective program design.

To ensure professional development, trainers must enhance their knowledge and expertise in the areas of health-related fitness each year. All trainers must also stay up to date with CPR level C training.
