I am a PhD student in Dr. Nicholas Coops’ Integrated Remote Sensing Studio (IRSS lab) at the University of British Columbia in Canada. My research interests are forest ecosystem simulation, mechanistic biophysical vegetation models, small unmanned aerial sensing systems, computer vision, and collaborative governance.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Political Economy and a Master of Community and Regional Planning. My early research includes coupled U.S. energy and social policy, the Sustainable Cities Initiative in Gresham, Oregon, integrated land-use and transportation planning, GIS-based water quality monitoring and modeling, and GIS-based three-dimensional visual communication for the City of Eugene’s Comprehensive Plan public outreach component. In a previous life, I was an IT Support Specialist and then Creative Director for a major regional food distribution company.
