  • Provides the basics of our in-class discussions. Not a replacement for being in class to take up these cases but an assistance when you are studying for the final exam.

Moderators please be ready and have your rough notes uploaded in PDF format onto connect by 9 pm the TUESDAY of the week your case is take up in class. You do not have to type these rough notes if you do not want to – just make them legible and scan or take a photo and make sure it is in PDF and uploaded via connect. These cases are being provided to allow you practice in applying the analysis models & tools and to solidify your knowledge in these topics. Please ensure you read, prepare and take them seriously. Even if you are not the moderator you will benefit by reading and following along on the discussion.class.

  • If you DID allocate points to the in-class case, then you will need to sign up as a “case expert” via doodle.

    • As a case expert, your job is the following:
      • Read the case and prepare the final answers for the case question.
      • Sit in the front row for the day of their case and be ready to answer questions during the case presentation- I will moderate the case discussion with the assistance of the case experts who will provide their expertise and answers on request.
  • If you DID NOT allocate points to the in-class case
    • Read all cases & articles and be ready to learn through the application of the business principles
    • Read and participate because this material is included in exams.

Additional information regarding the cases:

  • Each case will have a maximum number of case experts (defined in doodle).
  • Case experts do not need to work together.
  • The timeline for taking up the cases will be provided in class as we move through the course material.
  • All students are required to read all cases & articles.
  • We may deviate a bit from case questions.
  • Cases will be taken up in class time but we will likely not get to complete all parts of the cases. However, you should consider these cases as extra questions you can use to solidify the principles taken up in class.
  • Case solutions are not posted but instead discussed in class.
  • Yes, this material is included in exams.
