Subject: Ten Best Practices for LinkedIn

As requested in assignment 2.2, I have listed the ten best practices for a great LinkedIn profile. I hope this information can prove useful to your endeavors.

  1. Create an optimum headline: By using a clear and concise headline to summarize professional experience and expertise, a profile will stand out in search results and attract more visitors to the profile, which can increase the chances and possibilities of being in contact with potential employers.
  2. Choosing a professional profile picture: A professional profile picture can showcase professionalism and seriousness, which is often the primary requirement for higher-level paying jobs. Avoid using casual or inappropriate images for profiles, as the profile picture is the first online impression to other viewers.
  3. A story-like summary: Using the summary to write a life story can highlight skillsets, accomplishments, and career goals. Composing it as a story can captivate readers but remember to keep it clear and concise of the strengths and admit to the weaknesses to appear humble and likable is applicable, as work field requirements and appeal may vary.
  4. Highlight the achievements: Other than briefly mentioning accomplishments in the summary section, provide a clear list along with evidence, and talk about the positive impact and importance of available experience to establish an excellent online reputation and persona further.
  5. A personal URL: Customizing the LinkedIn profile URL to make it individualized, making the profile easier to share and identify on the website while showcasing a tentative quality of paying attention to detail.
  6. Skill section for searches: The skills section is one of the vital sections for exposure on the website, as the keywords shown there are correlated to search results. Thus, ensure the correct wording is utilized to increase visibility on the website.
  7. Recommendations: Ask for referral and recommendation letters from a former workplace to endorse skills and experiences. The letters can be from current or past employers, managers, or colleagues because any professional third-party input can improve validity, and trustworthiness can be favorable.
  8. Activities on LinkedIn: Frequenting LinkedIn can increase the chances for connections and act as proof of interpersonal skills. Because tactics such as sharing and commenting on people’s posts can improve the possibility of having perspective-desirable posts shared and commented on by others, increasing visibility on the website.
  9. Customizing a profile using multimedia: Try using images, videos, and presentations to showcase past works and accomplishments. Additional sources representing past works can be more engaging and help stand out on the platform.
  10. Profile updates: Update your professional profile regularly to ensure it includes all newly acquired skillsets, accomplishments, and experience. Everything present or past should be included to help improve visibility on the platform.

I hope these suggestions can help you build a great LinkedIn profile that contributes to your future success. I have attached a page of reference for your convince if you wish to learn more.
