All data used for this project were available to public through online access. Based on location and scale, the datasets can be categorized into three groups: (I) Garibaldi, (II) British Columbia (BC), and (III) Canada.
Garibaldi
For the volcanic hazard assessment of the Garibaldi massif, DEM of southwestern BC was acquired from BC Data Catalogue. The DEM data have a resolution of 25 meters and were in the form of zipped CDED files, which were manually selected from multiple letterblocks of map zones 92F, 92G, 92H, 92I, 92J, 92K, and 92O.
British Columbia (BC)
Data for roads (“Digital Road Atlas (DRA) – Master Partially-Attributed Roads”) and hospitals in BC were both obtained from BC Data Catalogue. To narrow down the area for analysis in southwestern BC, shapefiles for Emergency Management BC Boundaries were also downloaded from the same source.
Boundaries for District of Squamish and Resort Municipality of Whistler were obtained from Squamish Open Data and Whistler Open Data Portal respectively.
Canada
Data for the population density per square kilometer at the dissemination area (DA) level of the hazard areas were obtained from the 2016 Census in CHASS Data Centre through Canadian Census Analyzer. Boundary shapefiles of the DAs were downloaded from Statistics Canada.
