TO DO IN THE PEG
“DO WHAT MARY WOULD DO IN WINNIPEG DORIS”
I’m scared of going to new places alone, so I choose to stay home most of the time.
But I feel like I’m missing out on all the events in Winnipeg.
So I shall compile a list of places and events that I need to go and attend,
whether it’s going alone or successfully able to drag one of my roommates along.
I seriously doubt my roommates would go with me,
I had to drag and wait for 20 minutes when I asked one of my roommates to accompany me to Safeway.
He said he needs to look his best when he heads out.
But anyways here’s the list:
1. The Forks DONE on May 18th
2. Winnipeg Art Gallery (Olympus, between May 12 to June 11) DONE on May 16th
3. Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra
4. Doors Open Winnipeg (May 30, 31)
5. The Exchange District
6. St. Boniface DONE on May 18th (and the Le Croissant near there)
7. Kingdom of the Shades at Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet (May 23)
8. Prairie 360 (Brunch Hours: Sunday 10:30am -1:30pm)
9. Street Vendors on (Broadway and Hargrave Street / Exchange District’s Old Market Square / The Forks / Manitoba Legislative Building) Recommendations: http://www.tourismwinnipeg.com/things-to-do/where-to-eat/street-eats-101
10. Wannabee’s (Cheeseburger and fries are highly recommended)
11. White Star Diner (Screeching Chihuahua)
12. VJs Drive Inn (VJs special) DONE on May 18th
So what if Winnipeg has one of the highest crime rates in Canada,
I’m here in Winnipeg already, so I might as well enjoy every bits of pieces this city has to offer.
What would Mary do in Winnipeg? Mary would have fun and eat.
And that is what I shall do during my stay here.
