The Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Genotyping Core Facility has been providing all the researchers with fast and convenient PCR-based genotyping services and other related services, which helps you save time and allows you to focus on your important research activities, in the University of British Colombia since 2004.
PCR-based Assays are performed to screen mouse mutations such as transgenes, knockouts, and also analyze single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) for mouse and human samples. As a related service, the PCR-based pathogen-detection in the mouse units is provided.
The investigators provide us with samples, positive controls, and primers information. Positive controls are very helpful to keep our quality of services stable, so that we strongly ask clients for them with samples. Services include extracting the genomic DNA or isolating the total RNA from your samples and followed by performing assays with positive and negative controls on the conventional PCR or the qPCR.
Results are returned to the investigator by e-mail within 5 business days.
