{"id":161,"date":"2013-04-02T14:50:48","date_gmt":"2013-04-02T21:50:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/genotyping\/?p=161"},"modified":"2013-04-05T12:06:03","modified_gmt":"2013-04-05T19:06:03","slug":"161","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/genotyping\/2013\/04\/02\/161\/","title":{"rendered":"Mycoplasma Detection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Facility Users,<\/p>\n<p>This is an announcement of the PCR-basedMycoplasma Detection in the cell lines in April\/2013.<\/p>\n<p>In order to minimize the cost, please prepare your samples as following way,<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>collect a 1mL sample off of the cells to be tested (do not change medium as it may be needed for retesting the next day)<\/li>\n<li>spin samples at 1500 rpm for 5 minutes and transfer supernatants to new microfuge tubes<\/li>\n<li>label tubes with your name and the name of the cell line<\/li>\n<li>bring samples to the Genotyping Core Facility or simply leave them in the freezer with a label of your name and laboratory.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you are interested in the service, please feel free to contact us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Facility Users, This is an announcement of the PCR-basedMycoplasma Detection in the cell lines in April\/2013.
