The United States is a country of 50 states, a federal district, five major self-governing territories, and various possessions. In the United States, an estimate of 16,214 people were murdered in 2018 according to the data we have collected from the FBI. With FBI\u2019s 2018 Crime in the United States data, we determined the overall number of murders and the number of murders involving firearms.
