This was a short in-class lab that used spatial statistics in ArcGIS to better understand the distribution of dengue fever in Pennathur, a village in southern India. Tools used include:
- Average nearest neighbour
- Spatial autocorrelation
- Calculate distance from band from neighbour count
- Hot spot analysis

I also learned how to ‘clip to shape’ (figure 1) which is a neat little trick to use to clean up the look of a map.
