I am in my fourth year studying mechanical engineering at UBC. I enjoy outdoor activities such as running and hiking.
Lagos, Nigeria stood out as an interesting case study to me because my girlfriend’s family is Yoruba and originated from Lagos. Studying infrastructure and housing from a human geography point of view provides a new and refreshing perspective from my engineering background. I naturally think of things from a technical and economic perspective, so this case study will help me view urban issues from a wider lens.
